The International Communication Project (ICP) exhibited at the recent Consumer Electronics Show(CES) in Las Vegas, an annual event that attracts almost 200,000 people from around the world. Concerns about the potential harmful impact on human communication that may arise from misuse of popular technology have been raised by the World Health Organisation and other leading groups. Information about the Project was disseminated to attendees, some of whom also signed the Project’s Universal Declaration of Communication Rights. Many expressed keen understanding of how vital communication is to life and strong interest in protecting not only their own ability to communicate but also the abilities of their children and other loved ones.
